Does California Wing Conference 2023 registration include a hotel room?
No, your California Wing Conference 2023 registration does not include a hotel room. To learn about the conference venue hotel and alternate hotels, visit the Venue page of the conference website. We have a group rate for the venue hotel for three nights.
What is the California Wing Conference 2023 refund policy?
Your California Wing Conference 2023 registration is refundable if your justified refund request is received no later than 11 Oct 2023. All t-shirt and sweatshirt orders are fully refundable if your justified refund request is received no later than 20 Sep 2023. To request a refund, please follow the steps outlined on the refund policy and process page.
Cancelling a hotel room can only be handled directly through the hotel, and their refund policy applies.
What do I need to do when I arrive at California Wing Conference 2023?
When arriving at California Wing Conference 2023, besides checking into the hotel, it is important to check-in at the “Convention Registration Desk” on the first floor just off the Grand Ballroom Foyer before attending any conference sessions or activities. The desk hours are:
- 19 Oct: 0700-1100PT and 1300-1500PT
- 20 Oct: 0700-1100PT and 1300-1500PT
- 21 Oct: 0700-1100PT
At check-in, you will receive your conference lanyard, conference swag, and any clothing orders.
Failure to check-in to the conference and receive your lanyard will interfere with your ability to access activities and receive conference credit.
What food and beverage is provided at California Wing Conference 2023?
California Wing Conference 2023 provides the following food and beverage at the following events based on the package you purchased:
- Thursday night’s Welcome Social (Full Conference only)
- Friday night’s Commander’s Reception (Full Conference only)
- Saturday morning’s General Session (Full Conference and Conference Only)
- Saturday night’s Awards Banquet (Full Conference and Awards Banquet Only)
- Sunday morning’s Incoming Commander’s Town Hall (Full Conference and Conference Only)
All conference rooms will have ice water available, and you are welcome to bring your own food and beverage into the room. However, hotel policy prevents us from providing catered food for any conference sessions except with prior arrangement with the California Wing Conference 2023 staff and the hotel.
Besides the Starbucks and hotel bar in the lobby, there are many nearby dining options.
What is the Uniform of the Day for California Wing Conference 2023?
For all conference sessions except the Awards Banquet:
- Any complete CAP uniform authorized in CAPR 39-1 except for utility uniforms (i.e. ABUs, BDUs, and flight suits)
- USAF Blues (Class B) or CAP Aviator (White) uniforms preferred
For the Awards Banquet (Saturday evening):
- USAF Mess Dress
- USAF Service Dress (Class A)
- CAP Corporate Semi-Formal or Service Dress (Blazer)
- Civilian formal attire
Regardless of which uniform(s) you wear, ensure they meet the requirements of CAPR 39-1 Civil Air Patrol Uniform Regulation and you meet the required height, weight, and grooming standards for USAF uniforms.
How/When will I receive California Wing Conference 2023 attendee credit?
Each checked-in attendee will receive California Wing Conference 2023 credit via a participation letter (PL) which will be issued about a week after the conclusion of the conference. This letter would need to be uploaded to eServices, and submitted for approval for members who are currently working on Level 3 of CAP’s Senior Member Education and Training Program. Members who have yet to complete Level 2 will need to retain a copy of the letter to upload upon starting Level 3.
Attendees of long-form or specialty sessions will be briefed by their instructors regarding how / when credit will be issued.
