Lt Col C.N. “Kit” Reichow

Lt Col Christopher Reichow’s career began as a cadet in 1964. As a cadet, he served as Cadet Commander of his squadron, and served on the Group Cadet Advisory Council and on the cadet staff at Encampment. Over the course of his 30+ years as a senior member, Col Reichow commanded two cadet squadrons, one in Southern California, and one in the San Francisco Bay area. At one point, he was the youngest Group Commander in California Wing. The majority of his career was devoted to the cadet program, holding positions including Squadron Leadership Officer, Group Cadet Program Officer, and various California Wing and sector cadet program positions. Col Reichow served as Director of Cadet Programs for California Wing from 1974 through 1978. He has also served as Commandant of Cadets and Encampment Commander for numerous California Wing Encampments. Col Reichow developed the concept of the Integrated Leadership Program for the wing, specifically creating the Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer School and the Cadet Officers Basic Course. He now acts as Senior Cadet Program Development Officer with California Wing’s Cadet Team.

Col Reichow retired from a career in Aerospace Information Technology, developing software for the Space Shuttle with Rockwell International, as 32 years with the Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Enterprise Information Systems company. He is married and has two grown children. Col Reichow currently teaches History, Government, and Economics at a private High School in San Jose, California.
