Lt Col Gregg Olsen

Dr. Gregg Olsen has advanced degrees in Molecular Genetics and Medicine.  He did his post graduate medical training at and remained on the faculty of Duke University Medical School in Durham, North Carolina where he was instrumental in setting up the bone marrow transplant unit.  He has over 40 scientific publications on topics from basic science to cancer treatments.  He treated patients with cancer and blood diseases for 35 years at Duke University and In California.  Additionally, he taught Human Physiology and Microbiology on the college level during the last seven years of his professional career.

Dr. Olsen joined CAP 10 years ago and has served as Medical Officer on the squadron, group, and wing levels.  He has been active in emergency services and cadet programs and currently serves as Group 1 Commander.  He is an active pilot, sailor, scuba diver, and back packer.  He and his wife of 48 years have four children and 14 grandchildren.
