Maj Katherine Brown

Maj Kathy Brown, CAP has been active in four different wings since joining Civil Air Patrol in September 2009 and has served in all three CAP missions, including 4 years as a Composite Squadron Commander as well as other wing-level roles in Aerospace Education and Safety.

After joining California Wing in 2015, Maj Brown has focused primarily on Emergency Services and has served as Group 2 ES officer, and for the last three years as the California Wing Emergency Services Training Officer.  With ES qualifications in numerous Air, Ground, and Base Staff roles, Maj Brown enjoys sharing knowledge and best practices with newcomers.

In 2015, Maj Brown received a Distinguished Graduate award for her 2015 NESA ICSS Class and attended NESA MP school in 2017.

Professionally, Maj Brown is an Industrial Safety Professional and has been in the safety industry for more than 11 years where she enjoys teaching and work-in-support functions.
